Leave at least an inch or more of clearance all the way around, except of course the bottom. Consider more clearance if you game with it or use CPU heavy apps. Can you upload a photo of the desk? Is the desk open in the back and not 100% enclosed?
Desk is quite old and has an 18"x14" cupboard with door. Keeping the suggested distance is not a problem. I just want to be sure this cannot become a problem.
I just received replacement refurbished 7010 SFF under warranty as original crashed with broken motherboard and HDD. Buy Fair, Ontario, Canada, the vendor, has been most accommodating.
