7020, SSD caddy part number?
What's the part number for the caddy to replace the 3.5 hard drive with a ssd hard drive in the 7020?
If I decided to keep the 3.5 HD and install a 2.5 ssd, how would I do that? Thanks

Unless there are more than 1 3.5 bay this is not an option.
R494D allows 2 X 2.5 drive to be installed inside the 3.5 caddy.

The Optiplex 3020 7020 9020 R494D 2.5 inch caddy fits inside the DN8MY 3.5 inch blue caddy.
The Silverstone adapter has all the mount points of a standard 3.5" hard drive, and it's only $8 with free shipping. It holds two 2.5" devices stacked.
ICY Dock MB882SP-1S-1B 2.5" SSD / SATA HDD to 3.5 fits 1 drive and requires no screws.

I do have some spare 2.5 drives that I could use, so having the SSD and the HD would be nice. The Amazon listing for that caddy doesn't mention my model, I'm going to assume that they are all use the same caddy?

R494D fits in almost every dell since 2006 to 2018 that has a blue snap in 3.5 inch bay.

Hi, I just bought the caddy and am unclear on how to fit the 2 drives onto it. Does one sit on top of the other or is there one on either side of the caddy? Also where can I get the split power cable to power both drives? Thanks.

Update query - I figured out how to fit the 2 drives to the caddy. My only problem now is cables. At present, the original sata cable is attached to the optical drive and one of the hard drives. How do I cable up the 2nd hard drive and where can I get the necessary cable? Thanks.
