Re: What's the difference between a 7020 SFF and a 9020 SFF? The only obvious difference I saw was RAM capacity (16 GB vs. 32 GB) It looks like everything else is the same (Chipset, BIOS, etc.) If I were to pick up a 9020 SFF, could I pull the hard drive out of my 7020 and put it in the 9020? Or would I need to do a clean install of Win10?

they are different but performance is essentially identical.  They have different DP/N motherboard with different bios.  7020 up to bios A18. 9020 up to A25.

you can almost assume 7020/9020 motherboard look nearly identical except for different bios.

the chassis are nearly identical and many components are interchangeable.  9020 is high tier therefore sold w higher end config than 7020 but there is significant overlap.

Both can support 32 GB memory.  You can put 7020 hdd w Windows 10 in 9020 and it will adjust to new hardware settings but your Windows 10 activation will be lost. You will need a new key to activate it.

Alright, I will think this over for a bit. I will probably end up getting a 9020 anyway, because I will turn it into an "everything" PC (Work, Audio Editing, maybe some video editing) I even thought about putting a low-profile video card in for some gaming, however, after reading some other posts here, it's about a 50/50 chance of it working. (Yes, I should probably get the MT at this point, but, I am very limited on physical space, so I'm kinda stuck with the SFF. I have a 9020 USFF which could work in the interim, but I have other plans for that PC anyway.)

Worst-case scenario is that I pick up the 9020SFF, max everything out, and get a new Win10 Key or a new Win10 install. (Whenever I purchase these, they usually don't have any hard drives in them)

Also, slightly off-topic question: What's the DPN for the Wifi Antenna for the 9020 USFF, and are they the same as the older models (990 and 9010)?

Oh, shoot... I should have clarified a little. I'm looking for the External Antenna - the part that plugs in to the chassis-mounted jack in the back.  I already have the internal card and cable, but good to know in case it fails.

The chassis back mount plug + cable is one integral Dell part.  F5JH5.
