CD/DVD RW Not working
Hi
I was regularly using my CD/DVD RW drive for burning data, suddenly one day it stop working, it is not burning the drive, auto play not working, I checked with Dell Support assist and no any hard ware failure found also I tried with external USB DVD/CD RW which is also not working
Please help me to solve this issue

What operating system do you have? Do you have Win10 and recently updated to KB4556799? A Forbes article about that update suggests you uninstall it if it's causing problems. While the article doesn't specifically mention not being able to burn CDs/DVDs, it does mention drivers go missing. If you have Win10 (or other Windows version) check Device Manager. Is there a yellow triangle with "!" by your DVD burner?
I don't know how else your burning software would suddenly not work.
The ability to recognize a DVD burner is already in Windows.
Of course, if it's not the above, may be we can troubleshoot another way.
