Dell Optiplex 7050 Micro Form Factor Unable to Detect 3rd Monitor
I had recently purchased this computer for the purpose of running three monitors. Upon booting for the first time, all three monitors showed that they detected input. However, upon that first boot, it got stuck in an infinite boot cycle. After several hours of troubleshooting with Dell Support, we were able to get it up and running by reinstalling windows. This is where the problem began. The DP on the motherboard and the DP that we had added to it while ordering both work, it is the HDMI on the motherboard that is not giving any output. We have tried a number of different cables and monitors and they were all unable to be detected in display settings. We have also tried updating the graphics drivers. I have come here in hopes to get this figured out. Thanks in advance for any ideas or help that you are able to provide!

You lost me on, "and the DP that we had added to it". The Optiplex 7050 MFF (Micro Form Factor) motherboard does not have a PCIe x16 slot, so how could you "add" DP?
Optiplex 7050 MFF rear chassis only has one DP out and one HDMI out? So where is a 3rd monitor attaching?

Perhaps you meant the Optiplex 7050 SFF (Small Form Factor) ?

I had a 7050 with the same problem - i had to disconnect one monitor to get the PC to boot up, the plug the 3rd monitor in.
the recent BIOS update (7/2020) finally fixed the problem!

hey, i have updated the BIOS with the latest upgrade (as of December 2021), but my 3rd screen still doesn't wake up
is there anything else I need to do in BIOS or in windows to make this 3rd port to work?

I recall another user had similar issue. These Dell optional video ports do not seem to be plug n play.

indeed, there is an adapter you can plug into your Optiplex micro to get an extra 3rd video port
the (my) problem is that the computer doesn't just recognize the 3rd port out of the box
I performed an upgrade to the Bios with the latest update available as of December 2021, but still doesn't work, thought that this latest upgrade would add an option to the Bios for the 3rd video port or work just out of the box, but still no luck
please help!
