Dell optiplex 980 amber flashing power button error code 1 3

Question

So I have a Dell optiplex 980 and it had an intel i3 in it and have replaced it with an intel i5 and when I hit the power button it flashes ber and I get error code 1 3. I have 5ried moving around ram and the troubleshooting power button in the back and it lights up green. And when I tried the power button it flashes amber and I get error code 1 3. Is there any fixes I can try?

By any chance have you tried putting the previous CPU back? What exact I5 did you install in the 980?

From Dell Diagnostic Indicators for 1,3 and blinking amber power light:

Blinking

A possible system board, power supply, or peripheral failure has occurred.

Power off the computer, leaving the computer plugged in. Press and hold the power supply test button on the rear of the power supply unit. If the LED next to the switch illuminates, the problem may be with your system board.
If the LED next to the switch does not illuminate, disconnect all internal and external peripherals, and press and hold the power supply test button. If it illuminates, there could be a problem with a peripheral.
If the LED still does not illuminate, remove the PSU connections from the system board, then press and hold the power supply button. If it illuminates, there could be a problem with the system board.
If the LED still does not illuminate, the problem is probably with the power supply.
