non dell cards require SECURE BOOT OFF in bios BEFORE installing card.  EAH5450 is made by ASUS not Dell.

To disable Secure Boot, you should follow the steps below: Step 1: Tap F2 and F12 then F2 then F12  just after you start up your Dell (At this point the screen is still black.) Soon you will see the BIOS screen. Step 2: Next, highlight the Security tab with arrow keys, change the Secure Boot item to " Disabled ".

The Asus EAH5450 uses up to 19.1 watts of power.  By all accounts, it should work.  Bad PCI-e slot?  May be try a different GPU in it.

Hi speedstep

I do that but still not working. When i turn on the PC with the Asus EAH5450 it is always restarting until the monitor goes into standby.

If i place this graphic on another PC it works fine.

Genuine EAH 5450 is a 25W card so it should not be a problem with any model Dell from 2006 on that has PCI-E slots.  You cannot use onboard video with the card in the X16 slot.  This is an unsupported configuration.

Unsupported Video configurationUnsupported Video configuration

You must use monitor on card in the slot only.

Dell sold that model with Dell 236X5 AMD Radeon so its not a card issue.

You cant swap out a card and put the 5450 in and it just works.

You will have to clean install windows and then download the legacy driver since the 5450 is a legacy card now. AMD Catalyst™ 15.7.1 is the last version that works.

Hello everybody.

I also got a 3020 SFF with an i5 - 4590 processor.

I'm wondering, will an Asus GeForce 1050ti be compatible with the above configuration?

Many thanks

Yes, here it is:  Optiplex 3020 SFF + GTX 1050 ti + YouTube List

As long as you get low profile version with short bracket.  And, as long as it's Dell, Dell's 240w-265w PSU's have been on YouTube for years powering 75w cards.

This outside of Dell specs. printed some time ago.  So, currently, my answers in regards have the support of Dell moderation, one of whom is an engineer.  I've had 100% positive feedback from actual users in the form of kudos and "Accepted Solutions."
