Getting invalid trusted execution technology error at boot. Can't disable TPM?
I have an Optiplex 9020 which is now giving me an "Alert! Invalid Trusted Execution Technology" error message at boot time. I cannot seem to figure out how to fix this issue. I am unable to turn off the TPM in the BIOS.
The problem seems to have started after I had turned on UEFI booting, but I am not sure how to fix this issue. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you!

Well, I figured it out -- it appears that I had caused the alert from when I changed the setting to turn off VT-d. After I reverted to turn VT-d back on, the alert went away.

did you first read or ask now to go UEFI? from lagacy? (needs fresh installed)
do not turn on TPM do not, unless working for CIA, OK?
why not pick legacy or UEFI first. (decide based on merits of both)
then fresh load the OS and leave TPM alone. (your choice ,way)
if you remove the hDD, and try to flip off (disable) TPM in BIOS what happens, ? (id never try nor ever will but do try to turn it off like I just said)
good luck to you .

I simply disabled the "Trusted Execution" within "Virtualization Support".
