Hi

I need anew graphics card to run photoshop, my dell optiplex 3010 has a intel hd2000 card which is not supported by photoshop.

I know I need a low profile one for my mini desktop casing. But when I opened up my dell today to look inside it is making no sense to me at all how it will fit a graphics card inside it. Where the monitor attachment is , it seems to be in a strange place.

Any idea what I need to fit a graphics card in there? I’ve attached photos.

thanks

It appears that a normal non-low profile card will fit. And it is mounted in the large PCIe slot that is next to the CPU fan. One (or two) of the slot covers is removed to install. This support page has more information. And that is a PCIe x16 slot you are looking at.

Ok thanks, how do I know for sure if I need a low profile or not? There is a low profile graphics card for sale near me, would low profile one still be okay? Thanks

I may have been mistaken in my previous post as I was not sure which form factor system you have.

Which form factor system do you have? I ask because it appears to be a desktop and not an MT. If so then the low profile card will work. If a mini tower than you need a full height card. Only the MT takes the full height card.

It is a DT.  GPU card has to be no more than 75w and has to be LP (low profile).
