Memory controller Optiplex 3010
Hi all,
I have a bit of a deep techy one here.
I need to know if the optiplex 3010 mobo memory controller uses a particular type of memory address mapping.
I believe the correct term is 'does it use XOR address decoding'.
I need it to trace the exact location of a failed ram chip.
Thanks

Dell's memory address mapping isn't publicly documented. The best way to find a failed RAM chip is to try each one in a known good working slot.

individual chip tracing requires ecc ram which the 3010 does not support.
The core processors memory controller hub is built into the cpu.
