Motherboard compatibility question
Greetings all. I am trying to retrieve data from my old Optiplex 520 machine and need to change the motherboard. I found some used ones on the Ebay but not sure if they would be accepted by my machine. The specs and PN's are as follows.
My MB# CN-OH8052-13740-55J-O35O REV-AO1 Pent4 3.20 processor
Any chance these Ebay MB's are compatible?
CN-ORJ291-13740-66I-O2E7 REV-AO1
CN-OWG233-13740-63U-OICZ REV AO1
CN-OH8052-13740-57D-OIZR REV AO2
CN-OWG233-13740-53C-OIGZ REV AO1
CN-ORJ291-13740-63F-O2P4 REV AO1

All of them are compatible for GX520 MT motherboard. Dell P/N is the first 5 alphanumeric code. No need to be concerned with the rest of part number. Dell often have multiple oem P/N for the same model.

Re: I am trying to retrieve data from my old Optiplex 520 machine
if you mean you suspect your motherboard died and you only want to retrieve data in old hard drive, you do not have to restore the very old GX520. you can also just install the old hdd of GX520 in a newer working desktop PC as a secondary drive and retrieve data. It may cost very little to get a completely working desktop pc, such as optiplex 745 or 780 or inspiron 530/vostro 200 etc.
on the other hand, if you really want to revive the dead optiplex 520 pc completely by replacing the suspected bad motherboard, you will need to move the old pentium cpu to the motherboard replacement, reinstall heatsink, reconnect cables, and hope pc will then boot from the old hdd. This is not guaranteed to work if there are other bad components in the old pc. Are you sure the old hdd OS is still bootable?

@Stangit62
GX520 is a crippled version of the GX620 Tower.
You should buy a GX620 tower and move your hard drive to it.
