OP 3000 & OP 3080 have Intermittent Connection Issues with Network Device
This is kind of a Hail Mary, but I can't leave any stones uncovered.
We are having an issue with intermittent connections issues with a network device on several OptiPlex 3000 and OptiPlex 3080 computers. For what it's worth the network device is a PAX 300s credit card terminal.
Everything was working with OptiPlex 5070 and 5080. They got upgraded to (mostly OptiPlex 3000) and started having issues with the credit card terminal connections. The only fix we've discovered so far is to put OP 5xxx systems in their place.
The connection to these devices is 100% over the network. Updating to the latest drivers has not resolved the issue. I've used SCCM's CMPivot to look at the network adapter settings and nothing stands out. I'm digging through any other devices settings I think might be relevant, but so far, I can't find any setting that makes the 3xxx configurations different from the 5xxx configurations.
I don't think we've tried BIOS upgrades yet. I'll try a few of those and see if it helps. If not, where else should I be looking?

There hasn't been a pattern of network connection issues with the 3000 & 3080 that I've seen in this forum. Otherwise, an answer might be quicker.
Have you tried the "Get help now" button on the bottom-right? That way you can contact Dell directly in regards to the issue you're having. I'm sure you know - this forum is user to user.
