Speetstep is right coolguy. Maybe for kids h\games off a cd or dvd but not current gaming. Its a solid system and could do alort of things especiallu email, documents, but even a little newer core 3 or 5 or even amd systems are way faster/ newer technology. I think it is a great for many uses and even a museum, in fact my gx620 is so pristine-barely used that I hate to disassemble it, but the case is great to build a system in. Its like a giant heatsink IMHO.
I have an inspiron 620 I may upgrade but it too isnt that fast.
upgrade candidates include trhe CPU, an ssd instead of platter or traditional drive (HDD) and min 8 gb's ram which is needed for most current games and programing suites. The issue is the ridiculous cost of video cards now. Thats why I see many folks getting used or refurbished ssyems like the 7040 with a core i5, 16 gigs ram ssd drive for under 300.00 bUT again no video card for New world (lol). And not most current technology. in fact an i3-2400 is enough to run that.
Again, its not as fast as a 10th or 11th gen intel core or ryzen 5. (psst I have neither).
I have 2nd gen intel, 2 older intel's, and a few fm2 apu systems. They were cheap, integrated video (GPU) and do the job.
If you must have - you need to save for an r8 or r9 or GTX or wait. But beware of used systems or parts that could have been overclocked and heated too much too.
I have a new gtx 260 - less than a gb ram, cant do diddley for current games though. its huge takes up two clots and I need the slots soi its still unused lol
Check passmark scores by comparing cpus vs another online.

GX620 is too slow for even 1024 X 768 GAMING with Pentium D.
All gpu's are crazy expensive now.
This system is 15 years old now.
Your money is much better spent on buying an Optiplex XE2 with windows 10 and then waiting for GPU prices to come down around 1 or 2 YEARS from now.
What you are asking is not possible with something that old.
