Optiplex 390 upgrade question
Hi.
I joined an auction last year just for fun and bagged a 390 for $20+
Reading through discussions here i decided to upgrade and now my current set up is:
i3, 16gb Ram. Amd radeon 7470, and a wd blue 1tb 2.5 ssd is arriving next week. Hope it will work. Haha
Next on my list:
Gtx 1050 Ti Low profile
I7 2600k
Now reading through a few discussions here and some other forums and reddit got me confused..
Question:
Will the incoming cpu and gpu upgrade run on my stock psu coz i plan on sticking with the sff setup (small space on my room lol) and finding a psu that would fit my sff would be a pain these days based on what i usually read..
If not, what would be the best alternative for the gpu/cpu?
Thanks!

no need to get i7-2600k because Dell bios does not allow you to change cpu multiplier and OC. i7-2600 is better for 390.
the SFF PCIex16 slot max power is 25W, in contrast to 75W in MT. so it cannot support 1050ti. https://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/optix/en/optiplex-390-tech-guide.pdf
the SFF psu does not have discrete 6pin power connector. It is difficult to upgrade to a small form factor psu with discrete power connector.
if your purpose of upgrade is gaming, you may get gt 1030 LP (make sure it is gddr5) Its max TDP is 30w.
