Optiplex 7010 SFF gpu upgrade user question
A user sent this question:
Dell Optiplex 7010 GPU Upgrade.
Hello, I Have a Dell Optiplex 7010sff which I moved to a bigger case and I'm looking to do a GPU upgrade, I got an RX580 4gb Sapphire Nitro+, but with the GPU installed I cannot get the system to post, I can only get a display out from the integrated GPU, I have tried installing a different older graphics card to verify that the PCIe slot works and it DOES! And It gives a display perfectly fine, but with the AMD card I can't get a picture out, I have tried that RX 580 in another system and the card is fully working... What am I missing out please help asap...

Re: I can only get a display out from the integrated GPU
Install the RX580, using the video display from iGPU to boot the pc into Windows 10, go into dev manager (you can find it in system info or some other way), expand the display tab. Is there any display adapter listed other than HD graphics (which is the iGPU)?
If HD graphics is the only display adapter listed, try replace cmos battery with a new battery and clear cmos settings via motherboard RTCRST jumper. This would reset the bios to factory default. test RX580 video again.

this suggests you have upgraded psu to a more powerful psu. which psu are you using in the bigger case? RX580 needs to have one 8 pin or two 6 pin PCIe connectors to supply supplementary power. Since you tested the RX580 in another system, I assume you have connected the correct PCIe connectors to it.
