Optiplex 780SFF fan control issue.

Question

This seems to be a common problem, but with many variations. My Optiplex 780SFF fan constantly runs at full speed. I've looked for answers and never have found a reliable one. I've replaced EVERYTHING in the computer - Power Supply (which did, in fact, fail, but the problem did not begin until over a year later), memory, front panel (with all connectors and harness). sensor diode, and, at the suggestion of Dell, the motherboard itself, and (of course) the thermal compound. Only the fan itself hasn't been replaced. I know it's not the fan, because this morning, very briefly, the speed control worked properly for the first time in a year. Any suggestions from those who have had this problem and resolved it, or from Dell would be appreciated.

Go to your bios and then go to power then select fan speed override and turn it off  Hope this help
