Optiplex 790 Don´t wake on lan from Power Off/ Shutdown State
Hi all,
I need to wake up Optiplex 790 USFF from Power Off state.
It works if disconnect power cable, but not if ShutDown computer.
BIOS A22
OS Windows 10
WOL from sleep works perfectly.
BIOS: WOL : Enabled
BIOS Deep Sleep: DIsable
Please help.

IS THIS A PURE "WAKE ON LAN" QUESTION OR JUST THE POWER BUTTON? I AM NOT SURE.
so the powerbutton is dead, with PC dead, but not after pulling AC line cord.
when dead does the magic, intel south bridge, 10second push power button work? (pure hardward logic this)

a new COIN CELL battery RTC is first. on all PCs, (over 5-7 years) old it needs to be replaced on all PC.
2.9vdc up, not less. (if less every time you pull line AC cord NVRAM scramble (hint NOT FUN EVER) Chaos.
in storage PC battery, (boxed) 3 years. old bad, can fail, more drain then..
a PC locked up in sleep is NOT OFF. stated. it is in sleep state and any PC that does not exit sleep state has bad drivers loaded to said PC.
NO OS stated by you here, w7? what? the drivers must be dells and matched to OS or sleep fails and locks up.
here is the intel logic, for this, (and bIOS set wrong can interfere) data sheet facts, HW.
2 modes, here ,exit sleep and hard hard power on.
the chip has dell PSU standby power. at all times, line cord connected to Wall AC and this chip is always with power. So can respond to the push button.
