Optiplex 9030 All-In-One, P4317Q, audio stopped working

Question

Hi, I have an Optiplex 9030 All-In-One Dell pc connected to a P4317Q monitor via DisplayPort. I was using the monitor speakers for sound. But yesterday no sound is coming out from the monitor anymore. When I change the audio source to the 9030, I do have sound (coming from the pc of course). I have gone through many possible solutions including reinstalling the audio driver, restarting the pc, updating monitor firmware and then disconnecting it from electricity, connecting back, and then turning it on again, but no luck. Could somebody please help me? Some notes: I also tried connecting the pc and the monitor using HDMI cable, and again the monitor audio would not work (I had previously used an hdmi cable for this connection and audio worked just fine.) I updated my Windows 10 yesterday. I have attached some pictures that might help.

Update:

When connecting a MacBook Pro to the P4317Q through an HDMI cable, the P4317Q audio works fine. But when connecting my 9030 using the same HDMI cable results in no audio. This points to the 9030 as the culprit, not the P4317Q.
