Dell does not support Win 10 on this model (no drivers).  Thus older drivers or generic Windows installed drivers may not fully support all hardware.

first off if you did not load up the drive ,and then look in task-manager performance, then you did the test wrong./

see why here. see the real tests here. and all causes.

I sure can not see what you did, nor if smart test pass. not me.

not only that but no single HDD runs at 300MB/s none,  I have he fastest one made here, and does not.

for sure  that old 10 year old drive of yours no way JOSE'

While I appreciate that you took the time to respond, the experienced 4 to 5 MBPS is a FAR CRY from the rated max of 300 MBPS. I'm looking for constructive comments - not somebody's rant.

I thought the Dell user community was better than that...

run ATTO and post your results.

run smart tests and post your results.

do not use, task manager until you learn how it works.

and no HDD runs 300MB/s , sorry that is only bus speed to the cache ram. OK>  google it 10,000 posts answer same, endless for decades. read. it.

 A7K2000 BDE

the data sheet show date stamp 2009

seem to me it had a good run; 2 times longer than the average HDD lasts. in fact.

if it fails on 2nd PC it is bad.

for sure smart tests scans show , this.  parameter C6 hex,  is the one to see, 118,  like cancer it is DOOMED
