SupportAssist - 6 OptiPlex 3080 - Random Network Card - Failed

We have 6 of the OptiPlex 3080 PCs with all MS and Dell updates. When SupportAssist runs the Hardware Scan then randomly comes up with this error.

Hardware Scan Result (Manual) - Default scan - Failed - February 16, 2022 8:15:37 AM
- Network Card - Failed
Error Code List
- PCI Express Status Test - WPE01-EFR

 

Maybe when they did not fail they were on a different Windows update.

They are all currently on:

21H2 Build 19044.1566

There is support for enterprise images. However that support is not free from Dell or Microsoft in regards to SCCM or other images including PXE or USB etc.

USB 2.0 FAT32 flash drives are the most compatible with ALL Dell models.

Likely a false-positive, so ... thanks for the report.

Normally, it is pretty easy to know if you have a bad NIC. Did you need help determining if your NIC (or on-board NIC) are good?

So far the NICs seem to work fine. It's just that error message that is of concern. Thought it may have been a known issue.
