Unrecognized NIC in Optiplex 7080 using CentOS
I am having an issue getting an Optiplex 7080 to recognize the integrated network adapter when using CentOS 7.9. CentOS installs just fine using a DVD, but it doesn't recognize the network adapter built into the workstation. The workstation originally came from Dell with Windows 10 installed. The BIOS sees the adapter - it *is* enabled; it's even recognized as a PXE boot option. The Optiplex 7070 doesn't have problem recognizing the network card with CentOS. But the two 7080 Optiplexes I've tried to install the card on don't work.
Any suggestions?

Dell doesn't support CentOS and Redhat has EOL'd CentOS.
So there,is no more support or drivers or patches etc.
CentOS Linux 8 will be discontinued Red Hat senior vice president and chief technology officer Chris Wright announced that The CentOS Project is changing course completely, to say goodbye to CentOS Linux, to focus on CentOS Stream. Also, CentOS Linux 8, as an equivalent of RHEL 8, will be history by the end of 2021.

Get your facts straight. I said CentOS 7.9, not CentOS 8. CentOS 7 is supported for 3 more years until 2024.

Cent OS is not supported here and support is not free.
Dell doesn't support Linux on any model unless it shipped with Linux from dell.
CentOS Linux distribution is a platform derived from Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Red Hat caught a lot of the Linux community off-guard by what was a shocking announcement for many: CentOS 8 as we know it, will see a reduced lifecycle, ending in December 2021. Further, while the project will still support CentOS 7, CentOS, as the community has known it, is effectively a dead project at this point. This is fairly consistent with how IBM is known to do some acquisitions.
