Upgrading a dell Optiplex 755

So I was gonna upgrade my Dell Optiplex 755 with a new cpu gpu and 16 gb of ram 
so i was wondering Do I need to BIOS update?

Links:         CPU  RAM GPU (Adapter for dvi-d to vga) 

Also is it conpadable, also its the desktop form factor

user validated cpu for 755

Intel Xeon X3363 2x
Intel Xeon X3320 2x
Intel Xeon X3363 1x

 

cpu of your link is for socket LGA 2011 not c/w 755

so then what cheap 8 core cpu can i use? (im on a budget)

Where are you getting 8-core from?  The Xeon's suggested by redxps630, though never tested by Dell, are 4-core.  If you're looking at the list that comes up in userbenchmark when tapping red's links, it's only for the first one on the list.  It might not be obvious to you yet, but it's pretty obvious the 755 can't take i7's, AMD Ryzen, and etc.

Another one unsupported by Dell for the 755 - core 2 quad Q9650.  Unsupported certainly doesn't always mean not working.  I used a Q9650 in my previous 755, maxed the RAM to 8GB, used an SSD, and the thing flew.
