Why do Dell office PCs have a poor BIOS?
First off, this is not a rant, it is just a question, Why do dell office PCs' motherboards often have a really poor BIOS that doesn't allow you to change much? (e.g: No RAM overclocking, No CPU overclocking, No ability to enable/disable the iGPU, Sometimes BIOS doesn't detect discrete GPU), Why don't they have these options? I've seen some dell motherboards that have chipsets that support overclocking but the dell BIOS doesn't allow you to, It'd be useful for people who use these PCs for rendering and editing like some companies do.

They are sold in mass quantities to companies who use them as commodity equipment. Like light bulbs, mops, buckets, toilet paper, etc.
It's just business, everyone wants to make lots of money. Dell's customers buy these as tools, nothing more. They are not sacred.

But it's more like a "Why not" situation, Adding these features wouldn't cost them more than a few pennies, it's not like a massive deal
