Thanks.  Thought I had it in my archives, nope, just the SFF.

Better double check if the mini tower can use a gpu with low profile bracket. I thought most tower models have full size slots.

Re: can i upgrade psu optiplex 760

No for 2 reasons

1 the Thermaltake supply doesn't work

2 the 760 uses non standard 24 pin connector.

Bare miniumum is EVGA EVGA-100-BR-0500-K1  with Moddiy Adapter

and thats only for mini tower,. Smaller units wont fit inside the case.

Re: can i upgrade psu optiplex 760

I'm in agreement with @redxps630 .  It's the 760 DT, SFF, & USFF that has mini 24-pin connector.  I did point this out before.

However, all sizes of the 780, including MT, have the mini 24-pin.

Re: can i upgrade psu optiplex 760

780 DT/SFF excluding MT, have the mini 24-pin. 780 USFF uses proprietary 8 pin.

760/780, MT use standard 24 pin ATX connector (white), DT/SFF use mini 24 pin ATX connector (black)

Re: can i upgrade psu optiplex 760

@redxps630 ,

Sure enough, you're right, go figure.  My 780 MT motherboard search showed me a DT MB.  That means the point I made before with MT having regular 24-pin connector could've been. either the 760 or 780.

Re: can i upgrade psu optiplex 760

And to make another correction, the 760 USFF, as well as other USFF's with the same chassis, used an external PSU.  780 USFF had the newer chassis.
