Yes, that is a 2-post rack.

Yes, you will need to find 2-post rails for both of your servers. Since you will be using Tripp Lite rack I would suggest Dell versa rails. Versa rail is compatible for 2-post and 4-post racks.

Bottom line, get either 2-post rail or versa rail for the servers for your 2-post rack.

Thanks for the info.

Basically I'm not sure what server rack do you have but both servers support 2-post and 4-post rack. Check out this manual for both servers' rack installation guide:- ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_poweredge/poweredge-1750_Setup%20Guide_en-us.pdf

Let us know how it goes.

Hi, we are planning on using this rack: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16842111205

From what I understand, I need to find Dell PowerEdge rail kits that are for 2 post racks correct? I've found kits that say versatile rails and rapid rails. Those are for 4 post setups correct? I found some Dell rail kits (one for the 1750 and the other for the 2650) for sale that say on the box they are for 2 post setups. These should work with this 2 post rack right? Do I need specific rail kits or would any old rapid rail kit for a 1750/2650 work on the rack?

Thanks again!

2 post rail is most suitable 2 post rack.

It better to choose the same. Thanks you Manfred for your best suggestions on this.
