BIOS vs EFI boot
i just installed two dell power edge 420's using life cycle controller OS deployment., boot time is super slow on BIOS, is EFI faster? Operating system version is 2012 R2.
What is the difference between the two?
Thanks,

You should not expect UEFI to be significantly faster. Check the BIOS Setup for a "fast boot" (or similar) option.
How much RAM is installed?
Any other third-party devices connected?
What is "slow" ... how long does it take to boot?
How is the server configured - what services, roles, applications, etc.?

64 GB Ram, the server is taking just over 5 minutes to get back to windows logon screen,
roles installed are hyper-v, failover clustering
i do not see any "fast boot" option in BIOS.
