Dell PowerEdge 2950 - Dell OpenManage Server Admin console is reporting a PERC 5/i controller battery failed
Hello,
I have a Dell PE 2950 model, and according to the Dell OpenManage Server Admin console, it is reporting that the PERC 5/i controller battery failed and needs to be replace. However, the front LED panel isn't showing an error message, it's still displaying a normal blue light.
Does anyone know why the front LED panel isn't showing an ambient light error message when Dell OpenManage Server Admin console is reporting a failed PERC controller battery?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Quan

Quan,
Please check Open Manage for the driver and firmware revision for the Perc 5/i, the battery error could be a false error caused by the controller being out of date.
Let me know the version and the OS and I will get you the correct links if needed.
Also you may need to reseat the battery connection, as it may also be the cause.
