Hello

The iDRAC should default to IP 192.168.0.120 with a user/pass of root/calvin.

Here is an article on how to troubleshoot no POST issues:

Thanks

I have tried the troubleshoot no POST article and cannot find the problem. according to that, the server should boot.

is there a way to reset the DRAC? when i plug my laptop in, it shows connected, then i gave my laptop an address of 192.168.0.20 and tried to ping and point browser to 192.168.0.120 with no success. perhaps the DRAC was configured at one point.

I'm not aware of a method to reset the iDRAC with the limited access you have.

Make sure you are testing video output from both VGA connectors. One of them may be faulty or disabled. Also, test to see if an attached keyboard is functional. Press caps lock, num lock, etc to see if the light on the keyboard changes. If you are able to toggle the keyboard operating modes it is a good indicator that the system is completing POST. If the keyboard is unresponsive then it is unlikely the system is completing POST.

Thanks

The server does not power on nor complete post. It acts just like the power switch was broken. Is there pinout available to bypass the power switch and cable?

I'm not aware of any pinouts or board schematics that we have published.

Thanks

What would be my next step then?

If you have taken the system to minimum-to-POST and it is still not powering on then you will need to swap or replace parts. Based on the parts you have replaced so far I would suggest the control panel next. We would replace the cable as well if it were a warranty replacement.

X845M - Left control panel for 12 bay, power button
T521P - Left control panel cable for 12 bay

Thanks
