You can use OpenManage Server Administrator with VMware ESXi. I had posted a walkthrough awhile back that you can find HERE. It is based on 5.5 so we will have to adjust the VIB to the ESXi version if different. That walkthrough also includes the tools you need for the workstation you're on as well.
