FTP Server

I need to create an ftp server so that users completely new to sending large files can send multiple files ranging in total size from 20MB to 100GB to my server from either Mac or PC.  I work with a lot of photographers and need to be able to receive their files, but not allow them access to any of the files sent to me.  I will then take the files from the server and move them to a Mac, if it makes any difference in networking.  Anyone know of a good server and or software package to get this done?

A couple thoughts:

1) Use a third party FTP service (site)(assuming you are not already hosting your own server).

2) If you host your own webserver you could set up a web page based file upload script.  They have upload utilities available in ASP code out there.  I think one is called FileupASP, or upASP or something like that.  The photographers could just go to the web page and from there it would be simple for them to upload the photos.

3) Another option is a third party FTP server software (again, you would need a web server).  I have used Serve-U FTP and it works great, and it's easy to use.  I think they have a free version but you are limited to 5 users.  You could check it out before committing to purchase the version which allows more than 5 users.

Good luck.

Everyone has a built in FTP client already built into XP, it's called IE.

I've also starting using a rather good one called Flash FXP.
