Either one will work.  The latter is the replacement for KYJRD.

Thanks Geoff for the quick response. I also found part number NHGT2 for what looks like to be the same product. Do you know what the differences are, if any? I am based in the UK.

Hi,

Sorry to post a third time now, but I sense that I'm getting closer here.

Can anyone tell me what the last part number was, for the H710P for servers, that will take the 21.3.5.0002 firmware? (this reply mentioned one superceding the other)

Hello,

we don't have the firmware details for each part number, sorry. By default all replacement parts comes with the more update firmware.

Thanks
Marco

Thanks Marco, no problem.

are you able to tell me the latest part number, for the H710p for servers? (as in, the last release or sold version)

I don't have a "Dell sales rep" to ask, but would be happy to call in if I knew what to ask for.

Thanks

Thanks again Marco.

I did contact sales, just now, and they can't find any of those part numbers in the system... too old I guess.

As technical support we don't have chronological order for part numbers, we have a list of part number that can be choose as substitute.

You can find a sales partner from this website, just select the location and it will show the list of Dell partners

Thanks

Search fodder... :

NHGT2 - works nicely, and updated quickly and easily to latest firmware, and is now running in my R710 Server, with 5 x 8tb drives attached to it, and the sixth slot with a 448gb SSD CacheCade.  (config imported from previous controller)

Just wanted to reply and share that, for anyone else looking to confirm a server card model of H710P that will work (and update) in an R710.

I did a Windows 64bit firmware update, from an extra drive. No issues. Firmware now at latest, and matches H710 that's also in the system.

Replied here, only to close out the quesiton, in case anyone else Googles this.
