Hardware interchangeability between m710 and r710
Hi Guys,
I have a few PowerEdge m710's with high spec Hex Core CPU's and 16GB DIMMs that are no longer in use.
Would it be possible to take the CPU and RAM out of the m710 and put them into a r710? I checked the specs for both servers and they seem to work of the same chipset.
I would just like to double check before buying a few r710's.

Hi Robert,
The blade is a Dell PowerEdge M710HD (Service Tag: XXXXXXX). Im not sure what part numbers you are after, but hopefully you can use the service tag to look them up.
I would like to know if the CPU and RAM from this blade would be compatible in a Dell R710, e.g. I have an existing R710 in production, its service tag is XXXXXX. Would the CPU & RAM from the above m710 work in this R710?
