How to Disable CPU core on PE 910R
Disable CPU core on server PE 910R
Hello Gurus, I have a question about how to disable CPU core on 910R.
Actually we have oracle licenses but its are not sufficient then I am trying to disable CPU cores on server.
It is possible?
The servers have OS RHEL 5

In the bios, under the processor settings, there is an option for the "number of cores per processor". The hardware owner's guide doesn't say which options exist, but the default is "all". I know on some of the other servers the only 2 choices are "1 core" and "all". I haven't played with an R910 to check it's bios.
If it only offers "1 core" or "all", you may just need to buy the licensing to use this type of server, or downgrade to a smaller server (one that your licensing does cover).
