How to enable Demand Based Switching (CPU Power Saving) on PE 1950?

Hello, I tried to enable the Power Saving feature "Demand based Swithing" in the BIOS of a Poweredge 1950. But the entry seems to be locked. Is that supposed to be ReadOnly? PowerEdge 1950 BIOS-Version: 1.3.7 CPU: XEON 1530, 2GHz, Model 15 Stepping 6 Has anyone an idea? p.k.

Hi,

The only time this option is set to "disabled" and read only is when the processor does not support this option.

Yes, but thats a Xeon based on the new Core2 architecture. So I assumed that the CPU supports that mode. I know that Intel deactivates such stuff on lower price CPUs like the Celeron-CPUs but the Xeon is completely the other direction ;-). Can someone confirm that the Core2 Xeons have this mode disabled?
