Installing 2nd CPU

PowerEdge 1500SC with a 1.3Ghz CPU and I justed received a second CPU I'm getting ready to install.

Couple questions:

 - Is there any changes I need to make in BIOS before or after installing the CPU?
 - Will the new CPU be detected and begin working automatically?
 - Any jumpers or anything I need to chage on the motherboard?
 - Do I need to install any heat sink goop beween the CPU and heatsink?

Thanks in advance.

This is a little off-topic from the questions, but did you check if the stepping on both processors are the same? On modern systems (read: modern P4 systems) it's a little more forgiving (still prefers same stepping, but might work with mismatch), but on P3 I'm pretty sure both processors need to be the same stepping.

you should be able (if the CPUs match) just install the cpu and the computer should come up in 1 cpu mode. You need to replace the driver in device manager under your computer to i believe ACPI multiprocessor pc.

reboot and you should be ready to go, just did this with 5 servers (win2000 srv not win2003)
