Issue installing Centos 7 virtual iso on Dell R610 + IDRAC6
I've tried this on multiple exact server configs: Dell R610, iDRAC 6, Same firmware. Always worked installing Centos 6 and 7 on the same boxes with no issues. I tried iDRAC reset. I even power cycled the IPMI switches as well.
Every time I try to install Centos it literally hangs on 143MB, each time, each box. I tried a fresh downloaded iso too. Same thing. I'm absolutely baffled. I'm in Mexico now so wifi is a bit slow, but I left it overnight and still stuck at 143MB. Same issue at 2 different hotels to top it off.
See attached.

Try remoting into a system local to the server (virtual or physical) and mount the ISO from there.
With longer distance (and therefor latency) connections I've seen issues booting off of ISOs, even small ones (VMware's ~350MB installer ISOs for instance). Doing a remote desktop or so to a system in the same network (switch) as the host and then mounting the ISO typically resolves issues for me.

I'm confused, how can I do this from one Dell to another Dell in the same local environment? There's no o/s installed on the original Dell and the other, which mount method would you recommend? How would I somehow pull it into the virtual console on the original server?

Did you ever get this working? My centos7 install on this really old hardware is bogging down around the 108mb mark after chucking along over a really slow vpn...the virtual console says Starting Network Manager...
Thanks,
Chris
