Light up the server!!!

I have a collection of 2650s spread across racks.

Most of the labels on the server do not correspond to the actual hostname.

Openmanage is installed on all these servers. Can I openmanager to each of these servers and get the neon light located on the cable tidy arm to flash (like it does when your press the i button at the back of the server) up so I can match the physical server with the hostname?

If I cant do it with openmanager does anybody else know how to get a server to flash its neon light so that I can match the logical with the physical?

thanks.

Hmm, usually the flash feature for the bezel is used by pressing the button on the front panel to make it flash in the back or vise versa when dealing with trying to see which server you're trying to cable.

There is a identify drive feature in the Dell Open Manage Array Manager that can cause the selected drive to flash. That feature can be used to accomplish your goal.
