Hello

the interface displays Error 1410 System Fatal Error

The E1410 is a CPU IERR. It means that the CPU detected an error. If you are able to get into the BMC BIOS or access OpenManage Server Administrator through the OS then review the hardware/system event log for errors. If the system is not POSTing then perform no POST troubleshooting.

Thanks

Thank you Daniel. When I start this server the fans are super loud and they sound like they're cycling all the time uptime 1hour; does not sound normal but Idk. : / Anyways I have no video on the monitor to access bio or anything. When I spoke with the pervious owner his said that one of the power supplies was out and I needed to plug in only one, but he didn't remember which one. So its trail by error but the fans are throwing me off and how long should I leave the server on to determine that its the wrong power supply. Thank you again Daniel sorry for so many questions.

1. The fan noise - fans get loud and than reduce their sound every 5 to 10 seconds and continue over and over : ?

2. How long should I leave up the server before i can determine the power supply is the bad one

The baseboard management controller manages the fans. If the BMC is not functioning correctly or the system is not getting far enough into the POST process for the BMC to fully initialize then the fans will run at maximum RPM. I would not worry about the fans. They are a symptom of the problem. If they are still having issues after you fix the problem then troubleshoot them.

2. How long should I leave up the server before i can determine the power supply is the bad one

The issue could either be with a power supply unit or the power distribution board. I would test each PSU in each slot until you find a combination that works. It should only take a few seconds for you to get video. I would turn the system on for about 30 seconds to a minute. If the system does not POST then try a different combination of PSU and PDB/slot.

Thanks

Thank you Daniel for you time, I'm a newbie with servers. I took the PSU's and flip flopped them and nothing or should I say nothing different. I took one out and tested just one at a time leaving the other PSU out (Idk if this is correct troubleshooting but) something did happen the fan speed idled but still no video and the back amber light is still on. I tested the other same thing with the fans, but in one of the slots the amber light started to flash but unfortunately no video : ( I hope I didnt get my eyes poked

What else can I do to pinpoint this issue? and of course resolution. Thank you again

It sounds like you have multiple issues. Test the power supplies outside of the server(Not connected). The PSU light should go green. If the light goes green then the PSU should be good. It could still have a faulty PDB connector, but this should help to narrow down which PSU is functional. You should then test the functional PSU in each slot to see if the system responds differently to slot position.

Once you find out which PSU is functional you should perform no POST troubleshooting:
