PowerEdge R610 crashes after MS Server 2012 R2 Update Install

On three separate occasions, my PowerEdge R610 winds up crashing and hangs on reboot.  This occurs after MS Server 2012 R2 OS installs regular Windows updates.  After running DSET 3.7.0 and the System Diagnostic Express Test, I have two errors:

DSET 3.7.0

CPU1 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5620 @ 2.40GHz - State: IErr

System Diagnostic

Error Code 2900:0325 - IPMI: System Board FAN MOD 2A RPM at or below lower critical threshold.

IMPI - System Board Fan Redundancy lost

Error Code 0F00: 133C - Msg: DISK - No suitable disk media present.

My understanding of these errors is a fan needs replacing, and there is something wrong with the processor.

I am unsure how to move forward with this information.

ScisAdmin,

With the errors you are getting the 2900: one is simply listing a prior reported error. It is essentially present in the Hardware Log, but not a current error. If you were to clear the Hardware Log, the error would cease to be reported. Now in regards to the fan error, I would suggest swapping that fan with another matching one in the server, to verify if it is the fan, or the slot it is in.

Finally, in regards to the blue screen crashing. What I would suggest is making sure the server is up to date, from BIOS and Drac up to the raid controller. This should stop the blue screen from occurring, if it is indeed a driver issue.
