PowerEdge SC440 - Network Adapter & Drivers
Hi
I just ordered a PowerEdge SC440 we want to use to serup a Phone call logger system for our small office. The Logger's directions recommended Windows XP so I ordered the server without an OS and installed XP pro on it. However, XP pro is not finding drivers for the onboard Network card and Dell doesn't have drivers for XP (I tried the Windows Server 2003 drivers already and they aren't working correctly).
Can anyone tell me what network card is included on the MoBo so I can look up XP drivers on the Mfg website? Or tell me where I can lookup MoBo details.
Dell's invoice lists the network's net adapter as item# 430-0488
Thanks for the help.
Steve

I believe it is a Broadcom BCM5754.

That is the chipset and I would try the download from Dell's site. It is an Intel install wizard and the readme has Windows XP listed.

Thanks
That was exactly what I needed.
I've managed to get most of the other drivers that XP didn't already include. There is one left that has me scratching my head a little. XP is listing it as an "SM Bus Controler". Does anyone know where I can find the correct driver for this device?
Thanks again
Steve

I finally got a chance to try that drive and it seems to working fine.
It looks like all the hardware has correct drivers now.
Thanks for all the help.
