Is that memory wrong ? I should be ECC only ?

The system only supports ECC memory. You can find the memory population rules in the manual.

Your system supports DDR3 ECC unbuffered memory modules (UDIMMs). The DIMMs can be 1066 or 1333 MHz. Single and dual-rank DIMMs can be 1066 or 1333 MHz.

1600MHz memory will work if it is capable of down-clocking to a supported frequency.

Is it possible to run the server with only one 8GB dimm in one slot ? Or should I buy 2x4gb ?

Correctable and UNcorrectable ECC error BANK 1 DIMM A1

I cannot find anyplace with information on which one is BANK1  and DIMM A1...

How can i identify that dimm ?

Im getting this error in all the diagnostics tests.

I have 4x2GB dimms

I tried also with 2x2GB dimms in different banks than A1 but still I get the same error.

Can I do anything to fix it ? or is a motherboard problem ?

Tried many combinations and different dimms but always saying error in A1

Any suggestions ?
