I downloaded this but it doesn't boot on my server. It gets to the first stage saying linux loading and then just sits there no matter how long I leave it doesn't get past this point.
Is it not possible to download an iso of the original CD that would have been included in the box?
The version of SBUU/ISM that came with your system CAN be downloaded, but you'd have to know which version it was. If you don't know what version it was, then tell me the date your system shipped.
The version you have should work though - there is no need to go to an older one, unless your firmware is seriously out of date, but even this wouldn't prevent it from at least booting to the GUI. I would try burning it again, possibly at a slower speed or using a different system or software, and/or downloading it again, using the Checksum to ensure you got the file correctly.
SBUU can take SEVERAL minutes to boot, particularly on a slow optical drive.

If anyone could even tell me which version would be compatible with the r200 server that would be a help.

Version 6.5 is the latest version that works with the R200:

What OS are you trying to install? SP?
What drives did you replace the others with?
