R420 RAM question

Hi, the server in question is a poweredge R420, E5-2430 @2.2Ghz

Does this support 32GB LRDIMM? As in, the load-reduced quad rank dimms. According to the documentation it appears that when using two normal quad-rank RDIMM in one channel, the top operating frequency is 1066 MT/s whereas two dual-rank allows for 1300.

So, if I were to buy quad-rank LRDIMMs would they behave like dual rank?

Is it even worth it for performance? I am looking to bring the server up to about 192 GB or so.

thank you for the info about LRDIMM not being supported. this helps.

at this time i'm hoping to get to approximately 192GB but i don't want to limit my max by using 16GB dimms in all 12 slots. so my preference is to use some 32GB DIMMS for now. thus is my understanding correct that since 32GB modules only exist as quad-rank, the best speed I can hope for is 1066 MT/s? (unless I use twelve 16GB dual rank DIMMs in which case I can achieve 1300 but total RAM will be capped out at 192GB)

if this is the case i will accept the speed limitation in favor of greater possible max memory.

Thank you, one more question on this, will any RDIMM with this part number JDF1M be compatible with the R420? Or is there something more specific that needs to be verified for compatibility.
