ReadyRails rails to deep
OK I don't have a PowerEdge but figured this would be the appropriate place for this. Apologies if not.
I have a Dell Precision R5500 rack mount workstation/server. Using the ReadyRails in a 39" depth rack. With the rails mounted the way the vertical mounting brackets are (the square hole rails things screw into), the Precision with cover on comes about 3" away from the front door which is perfect for front airflow coming in from the bottom. The back has a couple inches. With the cable management arm it sticks out 2 - 3 inches beyond the back of the case. It's nuts considering the whole computer is 31" deep. Guessing it's the way the cable management extends beyond the back of the computer and the arm attaches beyond that, but is there a way to have this fit in the back without having the computer sit a centimeter from the front door glass? Something on the arm I can adjust, adapt? Hate to have to take everything out of the rack and move the vertical rails forward for this.
Thoughts?

Jriker,
Unfortunately there isn't. The issue you are seeing is due to those Ready Rails being designed for certain Poweredge servers. The desktop rack mount kit is likely different. The one for the Precision R5500 (part 2CGTG) is shown here.
Can you tell me the part number of the rails you are using, so I can check compatibility?
Thank you.

What you pictured is what I have. Can get the specific part number when I'm home if you think it will help. Did ship from Dell with them when I bought them. Just never used them. Basically the R5500 stops at the back rail by the fin sticking up. Then the rest is "extra". Was going to upload a pic but site seems to be having issues allowing me to select a file. And then the support platform for the rails sticks out further.
I would have to move my vertical rails 2 1/2" forward to allow the back door to close with the cable management installed. Which requires taking out 6 other systems including three heavy battery backups but may be what it is. Assuming I should even use the cable management.
