Hi AndySteady,

The 12th generation servers load the UEFI environment on every boot which is a change from previous generations, however this does increase the length of the boot process in exchange for the added features that it provides, so there is not a way to make these systems boot as quickly as older systems because it is doing more things.

There are a few settings in the BIOS that may decrease the boot time. The first option is to turn off the memory testing, This is set to disabled by default, but you may want to check to make sure it is disabled.

The next option is to disable the In-system characterization that checks for changes to the hardware and adjusts the power supply output. This option is under Miscellaneous Settings in the BIOS.

In the iDRAC settings under lifecycle controller disabling the lifecycle controller and collecting system inventory on restart will speed up POST as well.

Disabling the SATA ports, internal USB and external usb ports possibly could take some time off of the boot if the system is not trying to load or find them, but these are probably not going to make a big difference in the POST time.
