T610 memory issue
I have a T610 with 2 Xeon E5606 and 48GB memory. During boot I get the memory configuration error to see how I should have it installed. Currently its installed as such:
A1:16GB A2:2GB A3:2GB A4:2G A5:2GB A6:Empty
B1:16GB B2:2GB B3:2GB B4:2GB B5:2GB B6:EMPTY
Bios is set to optimizer mode. Is this not correct? Do I need to remove A5 & B5 (channel 2)? What can I do to remove this message and get better performance?

Should this increase the performance noticeably?

I did as you suggested and it still tells me that it is not optimal. It suggests I use A1 and B1 16gb then A2 and B2 2gb

I did not try it yet. I simply removed all but the 2 16gb sticks just to get things going for now. ill have to test that later.
