power edge 1300 loud beep
hi everyone i have a problem with my poweredge 1300 . after POST a very loud singular beep starts emitting from the MB area yet windows server continues to boot and everything appears to be ok. at first i thought it was an overheat warning but that, since, has been discounted . can find any mention of this issue on dell web or documentation.

It could be your RAID controller alarm if your system has an LSI Logic controller. Do you see any LEDs blinking amber on the front of the server? If yes, take a closer look and see if it is blinking on one of the hard drives. If that is the case, you have a failed drive. System is booting normally because it's part of an array.
If you cannot find an LED blinking on a hard drive and it is still beeping and keeps on beeping, try noticing if the beep has a specific pattern. Match the pattern against the list on following page to understand what it means:
