"System memory has changed - Run configuration utility." Poweredge 2200
I get the message below everytime I boot:
"System memory has changed - Run configuration utility."
"Press to resume, to setup"
I've went in the BIOS and there doesn't seem to be a setting to disregard this message. Is there any way to clear this so we don't have to hit F1? It's kind of serious because if we can't reboot the server remotely because someone has to be there to hit F1 to continue.

Thank you. I need a similar utility for a PE1300 (to correct the boot memory error).

Hi,
The PowerEdge 1300 does not use the same technology, you may have an actual memory failure. What is the exact error message?
I would recommend the Dell Diagnostics for x3xx servers:
File Name: DIAG388J.EXE
http://support.dell.com/FileLib/Format.aspx?ReleaseID=R20104
Executing this file will cause a bootable floppy to be created. Boot your server to this floppy. Choose Run Specific Test, using the menu choices at the left side and the bottom of the screen, you can configure the diagnostics to test the memory for an extended time and write the report to a text file.

Hi,
The first thing to try is to remove any devices not necessary to boot. Any PCI cards, any external connections such as printers, serial or USB devices. Remove any 3rd party memory.
If there is no change, remove all the memory. If you do not receive a beep code (1-3-2), then reseat the processor(s). If still no change, either the processor or motherboard is defective. There is a slight possibility of the power supply being bad, but the most likely culprit is the processor or motherboard.
