Genuine Dell Hard Drive - Appearing as un-certified

Hello All,

bit of a strange issue, received an alert that a Dell hard drive is no longer certified which i find very odd, the drive is not being reported as failing and the array is functioning as it should, so all i can do is blink and unblink the drive.

Drive is attached to a H200 in a R510

Hello.

May you provide the part number of this drive just to confirm that it is Dell certified? Begin with applying system updates including BIOS, controller firmware and iDRAC. Depending on the drive model, we may also update its firmware and see how it responds within the array.

Thank you.

Drive Part Number does not show in the System Manager Console.

as all drives are the same

these are the drives fitted into the server

Vendor ID DELL(tm)
Product ID ST3600057SS
Serial No. 6SL5KVWD
Part Number CN0W347K726222CG02MZA03

it is also missing other information like the Date of manufacture.

Ok will look at what updates we need to run.

it does seem odd that its only one drive mis behaving and not the whole array if there was a firmware / driver issue.
