How to change RAID level H730P mini

Hello,

I have read The H730P users guide:

http://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/poweredge-rc-h730p_User's%20Guide_en-us.pdf

Which mentions the ability to change the RAID level of a Virtual Disk, as well as adding capacity to a Virtual Disk. However, there are no instructions on how to do so. I have looked through every menu I can find in the RAID BIOS config, but cannot find anything to do with changing RAID level. I also looked through the iDRAC menu options for storage.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I currently have two SAS physical disks in a RAID1, and would like to add 3 more disks to convert it to a RAID6 and increase capacity.

Install OpenManage Server Administrator, go to Storage, PERC, Virtual Disks, and select Reconfigure from dropdown menu of Available Tasks for your array.

Amazing! Thank you so much for your help. Hope this helps someone else that is searching for the same thing. Why these commands aren't also in the BIOS setup is odd.

I have the same RAID controller Running 4 disks in RAID 10 configuration. two questions 1. will the OMSA allow me to add 2 more disks into the RAID 10 configuration without losing/rebuilding virtual disks? 2. I have ESXI 6.0 running - does that affect how or where I install the OMSA appreciate any guidance on the above 2 questions
